The American Council on Education (ACE), in collaboration with the Pullias Center for Higher Education at the University of Southern California (USC) will launch phase two of a multi-year research effort aimed at developing practice-based insights relative to equity-minded leadership in higher education and sharing the findings with the field at large. This effort will benefit the sector by filling a critical gap and elucidating a more full understanding of what it means to be an equity-minded leader. This effort will provide a research-informed foundation upon which private and other higher education leaders can implement institutional policies and practices to best support the needs of all postsecondary education students. In doing so, this project seeks to promulgate equity-minded attitudes, behaviors, and growth trajectories in both today’s and tomorrow’s postsecondary education leaders.
