WETA will produce the film Caregiving. From the filmmakers behind The Gene: An Intimate History and Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies; executive producer Bradley Cooper; and the producers at Ark Media, Lea Pictures and WETA, Caregiving will personalize the urgent, nonpartisan, national issue of caregiving through the stories of caregivers themselves, as well as through the voices of those working to address the care crisis. It will reveal the vital importance of caregivers to the family, the workplace, and the economy of our country. Audiences will see its profound fulfillments, and its deeply painful challenges. The series will follow a diverse group of caregivers on their personal journeys. Weaving in history and context, it will also follow people on the frontlines of the broad-based caregiving movement, as they fight to give caregivers the same safety, security and comfort they provide for so many others.
