Hemingway is the last production of Ken Burns’ “Telling America’s Stories” series. It is a three-part, six-hour documentary film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that examines the visionary work and turbulent life of Ernest Hemingway, the charismatic, mercurial, and egocentric genius who reinvented American literature and made himself into one of the most influential, and most famous, writers America has ever produced. The film includes activities to enhance the impact of the broadcast: involvement of local PBS stations, development of educational resources for teachers and students, community outreach events, and a social media campaign ahead of and during the broadcast that will deepen the impact of the series and drive tune-in to the broadcast.
