The Tributary strengthens Northeast Florida’s local news landscape, addressing the critical shortfall in investigative journalism and coverage of essential issues like justice, democracy, and barriers to opportunity. This project will support our team’s staff expansion, both in journalism and financial sustainability. Together, they will enhance our capacity to deliver at least 30 in-depth investigative stories annually, develop interactive legislative accountability apps to engage the public, and strengthen media collaborations for broader impact. Expected impacts include policy changes, increased civic engagement, and bolstered support for nonprofit news in Jacksonville. This initiative, backed by The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, promises to revitalize investigative journalism in our community, making local democracy more transparent and accountable.
